THE GRAMMAR OF PAPER: material transformations, textures, and water printing

Through an in-depth exploration, we will discover the expressive, transformative, and creative possibilities of paper. From tearing, folding, and crumpling, we will go on to investigate what happens when paper meets water. In the second part of the workshop, we will use paper’s transformative potential in a more intentional, expressive way to bring a visual story to life.
Paper Embroidery
This workshop focuses on embroidery on paper. The project emerges from the meeting between paper as a surface and thread as an unconventional graphic tool.
The focus is not on embroidery as a traditional technique, but rather as a catalyst for graphic experimentation and inquiry. Thread becomes a mark – it draws a front, traces a back, and acts as a mediator for a visual practice that opens up new forms of understanding.
